Atlas EDP is Lattafa’s interpretation of the aquatic-saline aesthetic pioneered by Orto Parisi’s Megamare — a niche composition celebrated for its raw, oceanic intensity and deeply unusual mineral-salt character. Atlas delivers a surprisingly capable rendering of that style at a fraction of the price: saline, slightly ozonic, with a clean spiced-floral heart and a warm, resinous base that gives it genuine longevity and drydown quality for the genre. The opening is immediately marine and arresting: sea notes, salt, and lemon create a bright, briny citrus-aquatic accord that is fresh without being synthetic, with the salt note adding a raw, mineral quality that sets the tone for what follows. The heart is restrained and well-chosen: davana and iris combine into a slightly fruity, powdery, herbal accord that is quietly distinctive, with the davana’s characteristic apple-like warmth softening the cool, rooty iris and giving the composition a gentle complexity that keeps it interesting through the middle stages. The base of ambergris, oakmoss, and sandalwood closes the composition beautifully — warm, slightly animalic, and deeply resinous, with the oakmoss adding an earthy, damp quality and the ambergris lending a soft, radiant warmth that gives the drydown its characteristic skin-close presence and longevity.
