Prada Luna Rossa EDT — Perfume Decant

Luna Rossa EDT is the original entry in Prada’s sporty Luna Rossa line — and arguably still the most refined of the collection. Where later flankers like Carbon push toward metallic and ozonic extremes, the original EDT occupies a quieter, more classical register: a cool, herbal, lavender-forward aromatic that is simultaneously fresh and sophisticated, with enough complexity to hold genuine interest across its development. The opening is immediately clean and slightly bracing: lavender and bitter orange create a bright, aromatic accord that is fresh without being sharp, with the bitter orange adding a citrusy edge that lifts the lavender beyond the expected. The heart of mint and clary sage deepens the herbal quality — cool, slightly mentholated, with the clary sage lending an earthy, slightly green, aromatic note that gives the composition structure and a quiet masculinity. The base is where Luna Rossa EDT distinguishes itself most clearly: ambrette (musk mallow) and ambroxan create a soft, skin-close, almost velvety musk base that is warm without being heavy, and gives the fragrance a clean, lingering sillage that works beautifully in any season. A benchmark aromatic fougère that remains as wearable today as when it launched.
